About

Welcome!

This website is mostly a collection of photography, art, films and reflections of Chapel Porth, Wheal Coates and St Agnes Beacon.

I’m Kathryn Woolf. I moved to Cornwall in 2005 and lived in the beautiful creekside village of Devoran near Truro with my husband and two sons (now teenagers) for 16 years.

In 2021, after the worst of Covid, we decided it was time for a new adventure, so moved to St Agnes on the north coast close to Chapel Porth beach.

Chapel Porth and the surrounding area holds a special charm. I love watching people stroll along the beach, look out to sea from Wheal Coates mine engine or enjoy breath taking walks and views from St Agnes Beacon.

Bringing up boys who are passionate about surfing has meant that I have been lucky enough to spend many hours exploring Cornish beaches. As a non-surfer, I always bring my camera.

This website is my way of sharing the beauty of this place I call home. The rugged north coast has a special way of making the world feel nicer. Whatever the weather, it offers something to do and see.

I love taking pictures as a hobby. If a photo features you, it’s yours for free.

For other photos, I can give you a quote for printing and arrange to have them sent to you.

I work full-time, so I’m not trying to make a living from my hobby right now. Any money I earn will simply help me buy better equipment and spend more time practising what I love. If you’d like to receive the occasional updates from me, please sign up for my newsletter.

I hope you enjoy.
